Our Beginnings

The beginnings of Baribeau Implement can be traced back to 1928, when Ray Baribeau (Sr.), at just 19 years of age, started a branch office for Hein Implement in Sheldon, WI, located approximately 12 miles south of Ladysmith. During this time, he focused on selling International Harvester and McCormick Deering equipment, laying the groundwork for a legacy of excellence in the agricultural machinery sector.

Our Evolution

In 1950, driven by a shared vision and a passion for farming, Ray and his brother Art established Baribeau Implement Co. Inc. in Rice Lake. Their unwavering dedication to the farming community allowed them to build strong relationships with local farmers while providing them with the best equipment available. Initially, the dealership focused on the International Harvester brand, but in 1954, it expanded its offerings by adding the New Holland brand to its inventory. This strategic decision allowed Baribeau Implement to serve a broader range of agricultural needs, ensuring that customers had access to reliable and innovative equipment.
